For years now, StarBread has been serving pastries up and down the California coast, with locations in Pacifica, Sacramento, and San Francisco, just to name a few. And soon the bakery will have a location right here in Chula Vista. StarBread recently signed a lease for a retail space at 510 Broadway in the Chula Vista Submarket. The bakery will take over the 1,800 square foot, first-floor space next month.
StarBread is family-owned bakery and began all the way back in 1988. According to the bakery’s website, “Señorita roles were first baked in a humble store in Vallejo, CA… by Auntie Nelly, Uncle Romy Maranan and their five children…soon everyone in Vallejo was drawn to the sweet little roles.”
StarBread specializes in fresh, hot Señorita bread, as well as doughnuts, cupcakes, and other pastries.
At the time of this article, owner Rodrick Maranan was unavailable for comment, so we don’t yet know when the Chula Vista spot will be open and serving up fresh, hot delights. You’ll just have to check back with What Now San Diego for updates.
