Supernatural Sandwiches will reopen under new ownership in the Miramar neighborhood. SanDiegoVille first reported the sale, with owners Andy Hirmez and Kevin Qasawadish taking over the fast casual seafood restaurant.
Back in August, Supernatural Sandwiches shared a heartfelt message to their social media followers announcing their permanent closure. Citing various challenges brought about by the pandemic, including food costs and labor shortages among other obstacles the restaurant industry has struggled through in recent years.
What Now San Diego spoke to new owner Andy Hirmez who promises guests they can expect the same menu of loaded sandwiches like their Leviathan Lobster Roll and Aphrodite Bacon and Shrimp Grilled Cheese.
Hirmez says their liquor license is expected soon and they will eventually roll out a sushi menu to add to their fresh seafood offerings. Supernatural Sandwiches is expected to reopen under the new ownership team later this month.
