Carlsbad Village will soon welcome two new concepts by trusted restaurateurs from Jeune et Jolie and Campfire. The team recently leased a 10,000-square-foot building which operated as an auto garage.
Eater first reported the space will be transformed into two concepts under one industrial roof on State Street, just a hop from the original fine dining establishments by Owner John Resnick. Wildland will debut as a casual bakery and cafe, serving wood-fired pizza, pasta dishes, and rotisserie options.
Carving out a space beside Wildland will be a formal restaurant called Lilo, offering an upscale and intimate dining experience by Executive Chef Eric Bost.
No further details are known about the two restaurants in their early stages of development. Reports say the dual project will launch in Late 2023. For now, North County locals can dine on Michelin-starred Jeune et Jolie while they wait for the new spots to join the neighborhood.
