Grind & Prosper Hospitality Unveils a Midcentury-Inspired Tiki Bar Offering Elevated Cocktails and Island-Inspired Flavors

The Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill officially opened its doors in Downtown Oceanside! Nestled on the ground floor of the historic Brick Hotel, this one-of-a-kind destination combines moody, retro tiki vibes with innovative cocktails and cuisine.

Replacing the former Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar, The Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill is the latest venture from Grind & Prosper Hospitality, a team known for creating dining experiences throughout San Diego.

“Our goal was to create a space where people can relax, sip an incredible drink, and feel like they’ve taken a quick vacation,” says Pete Cich, owner of Grind & Prosper in a statement. “From the décor to the menu, everything has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the spirit of tiki and bring something fresh to Oceanside.”

What to Expect:

Rum-Forward Cocktails

The Lobby has a curated cocktail menu by Rob McShea anchored in the art of tiki mixology, spotlighting rum-forward classics and creative new takes. Think Mai Tais and Zombies alongside innovative concoctions.

Island-Inspired American Cuisine

The food menu offers a playful yet refined approach to American dishes kissed with Hawaiian flair. From bites to shareable plates, you’ll find creations like Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks, The Nacho Volcano, Poke Inari Bombs, Kalua Tacos, Island Style Ceviche, and Hawaiian Donuts.

Mai Tai Mondays and Hula Dancers Every Friday

Every Monday, join the Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for $7 Mai Tais and $10 Huli Huli Chicken Wings. Every Friday evening, enjoy hula performances throughout the night with leis provided to guests with reservations.

  • Tuesday: CLOSED

  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to midnight (kitchen closes at 9:00 p.m.)
  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
