Urban Kitchen Group is working on a new concept and partnering with the flagship location of MCASD in La Jolla. Their new concept called The Kitchen @ MCASD will be the latest from the team that brought us Cucina Urbana and ARTIFACT at Mingei inside the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park.

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego has been a prominent feature of the La Jolla community since 1941. The museum recently underwent a $105 million dollar renovation and has been closed to the public since 2017.

The museum will unveil updates at their much anticipated reopening on April 9th, promising impressive coastal views and four times the amount of gallery space.

While updating 28,000 square feet of existing museum space and adding 46,400 square feet of new space, the MCASD is also working on adding the new restaurant attraction led by Urban Kitchen Group Founder Tracy Borkum

The Kitchen @ MCASD in La Jolla is expected to open Summer 2022. For now, visit the Urban Kitchen Group Website to find your nearest dining experience. Check out the MCASD Website for information on visiting the newly renovated La Jolla location or their Downtown gallery.
