Gigi’s Deli Finds Permanent Home
What started as a sandwich pop-up by local Chef Matthew Garcia has now found a permanent home. Gigi’s Deli serves freshly made breakfast and lunch sandwiches inspired by classic Italian delis.
Open five days a week, Gigi’s Deli aims to become a neighborhood favorite, combining the welcoming atmosphere of El Tigre Coffee with the timeless appeal of a traditional Italian deli.
Sharing the excitement of opening the shop, Chef Garcia stated, “Gigi’s Deli started as a lighthearted residency back in 2021 at Little Death, and from there, I would do occasional pop-ups throughout San Antonio. It’s exciting to now have a permanent spot in the heart of our city, something we can call home while we continue to explore bold flavors and creative takes on the classic deli experience.”
A Classic Italian Menu and Specials
Signature breakfast items include the Munchos, Egg & Cheese and the Pastrami, Egg & Cheese. The deli also offers aromatic Italian lunch dishes like the Italian Disco with mortadella, prosciutto, salami, pepper relish, and more. Lunch highlights feature the Uncle Ruben, layered with pastrami, Swiss, cole slaw, and Russian dressing.
The deli serves the breakfast and lunch menu all day with a rotating menu and seasonal specials.
With its rotating specials and neighborhood vibe, Gigi’s Deli adds a fresh dining option to St. Paul Square, blending community spirit with bold Italian flavors.
