A new eatery is coming to 2100 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley. According to a recently filed building permit application, a “bakery and dining area [will] be built into [the] vacant restaurant space.”

According to the application, the job is valued at $60,000 and the unnamed bakery is working with Creates Cool, a San Francisco-based architecture firm founded in 2020 by architect and interior designer Elias Horat.

The business will neighbor Gaumenkitzel, Acme Bar & Company, States Coffee x Bread, El Patio, Luca Cucina Italiana, Highwire Coffee Roasters, and Marcha Tapas Bar.

Horat tells What Now San Francisco that the bakery’s owner is Kiara Vazquez, however an opening date and other pertinent details have not yet been announced.
