According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery listed as Anja’s is debuting in Berkeley.

Coming to 1966 University Avenue, taking over a 782-square-foot spot formerly home to Garden Variety, the concept will land near establishments such as BurgerIM Berkeley, Rose Pizzeria, and The Butcher’s Son Vegan Delicatessen & Bakery.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Anja Voth, to inquire about the restaurant, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, according to the filing, locals can expect Anja’s to be a “fast-casual restaurant serving organic made-from-scratch meals, baked goods, and beer and wine.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
