According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, a dining concept listed as Ah Ma’s Kitchen is preparing to reopen in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond neighborhood, situated just north of Golden Gate Park and south of the Presidio.
Coming to 1115 Clement Street — a street that SF.gov describes as “the perfect spot to grab a bite and lively stroll to experience a day in the life of a local San Franciscan” — the eatery will land near establishments such as Cafe La Flore, the shabu shabu restaurant Shabu House, and the Cantonese restaurant The Claypot House.
What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the restaurant’s owner, Le Bin Su, who confirmed that he was reopening Ah Ma’s Kitchen at this address; however, he could not provide pertinent information (such as what the restaurant will serve) before publication.
While it’s unclear if the menu has changed, the eatery previously described the cuisine it offered as Asian-fusion.
Considering recent restaurant openings in the area — think Chris Dumesnil’s second Adeya’s outpost, which found a spot in Outer Richmond at 5801 Geary Boulevard, and Le Soleil’s relaunch (this time at Stonestown Mall) — Ah Ma’s Kitchen appears to be landing back on Clement at the right time.
A reopening date has not been announced yet. Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook to stay up to date on breaking restaurant news in the Bay Area.
