According to Antoine Tang, his business Antoine’s Cookie Shop — a Bay Area bakery that currently has locations in San Mateo and Palo Alto, and is readying to open in San Francisco’s Mission Dolores neighborhood — is expanding to Los Gatos.
While he didn’t disclose the address, Tang tells What Now San Francisco a little about how the business began: “Back in 2013, I remember one night, I was like, ‘I really want a fresh-baked cookie right now’… I looked up the best chocolate chip recipe, I went to the store the next day, and then I made myself some cookies.”
He continues, “A few weeks later, one of my friends asked to buy two dozen of my cookies… very slowly, it grew. Every time I made money selling cookies, I would reinvest that into the business.”
Los Gatos locals can expect cookie flavors to include chocolate chip, cookies ‘n cream, snickerdoodle, dark chocolate, peanut butter cup, and white chocolate macadamia.
And some advice, straight from Antoine’s Cookie Shop website: “Our cookies are freshest when we open at 10 AM. Then we bake fresh cookies almost every two hours. Ask us for a fresh cookie anytime!”
