According to the San Francisco Business Times, Bay Area Turkish restaurant Meyhouse is planning to debut its third outpost, this time in the East Bay.
Coming to Suite #1505 at San Ramon’s City Center Bishop Ranch — a 300,000-square-foot retail complex at 6000 Bollinger Canyon — the eatery will land near establishments such as Fieldwork Brewing Company, Marugame Udon, and Ofa’s Island BBQ.
“It’s fine dining Turkish cuisine, and we try to use authentic ingredients and authentic recipes… it taps back into the old Ottoman empire, Byzantine culture, it celebrates the heritage of Istanbul’s cuisine,” the concept’s owner, Omer Artun, tells What Now San Francisco.
“We try to do authentic things but also things that are rare and hard to find; for example, we salt-cure our Bonito fish, it’s called Lakerda,” he continues.
Additionally, the menu boasts an array of tantalizing meze (small plates), salads, and grilled plates, including dry-aged ribeye, chicken thigh marinated with yogurt-fenugreek, and a charcoal-grilled marinated pink grouper skewer.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
