Bay Burgers is preparing to relocate to a larger home in Redwood City, with owners Xavier and Catherine targeting a late July opening, pending final inspections and licensing approvals.
The restaurant announced on its social media that it is moving to 976 Woodside Road, replacing its much smaller previous location. Xavier told WhatNow the decision was driven by the business’s continued growth, which left the original space unable to keep pace with customer demand.
“We were getting to a point where we needed to expand,” he said. “We didn’t have enough space or enough equipment to keep up with the orders anymore. We felt that we had the customer base to comfortably expand and take the risk of moving into a much larger location.”
The new restaurant occupies a newly constructed building that required a complete buildout. Javier said the space was delivered as an empty shell, with the team handling everything from the plumbing to the interior finishes.
Known for its burgers, sandwiches, fries, and shakes, Bay Burgers has earned a loyal following in Redwood City. The relocation will allow the restaurant to serve more guests in a larger, modern space designed to support its continued growth.
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the owners expect to welcome customers in late July, provided the remaining permits and licenses are approved on schedule.
