A sports bar specializing in Korean fried chicken is opening in Concord. Mr. Lee Chicken, owned and operated by Sun Young Lee, is set to open by June 15th at 1651 Willow Pass Road, off highway 242.

“Korean fried chicken is becoming more and more popular in Northern California,” says Lee, who will be operating the kitchen himself, alongside his wife. “Ours will be authentic and packed with flavor and tons of sauce options. And of course, beer!”

The space, which shares a plaza with Ohgane Korean BBQ, Kansai, and a handful of other restaurants, will feature large TVs for sports-watching, a bar, and 15-17 dining tables. According to Lee, the restaurant should serve as a hub for people who want to “watch the game, have a beer, and eat some good fried chicken.”

Does it get much better than that?
