Daryoush Persian Cuisine is a Berkeley Middle Eastern and kebab staple less than a block away from the UC Berkeley campus. Known for its generous portions, authentic Persian fare, and customer service (Owner Daryoush Ermagan often interacts with customers himself), the restaurant has become a favorite for both locals and out-of-towners looking for a hearty kebab plate.

Now, it’s looking like the restaurant is making its way to the big city. Daryoush has filed for permits at 580 Bush Street in San Francisco’s Chinatown.

A representative was not immediately available for comment, and we don’t know when the restaurant plans to open, but soon, all the San Franciscans who’ve been trekking to Berkeley for their Middle Eastern fix should rejoice. We see kebabs in your future.
