It looks like healthy snack manufacturer BetterFoods is opening a kitchen in Bayview. Tobias Patella, who has owned BetterFoods for five years, has filed for permits at 293 Bayshore Boulevard to open a BetterFoods commissary/catering facility.
BetterFoods specializes in nut and trail mixes, using only nutrient-dense, nature-derived ingredients, like almonds from the San Joaquin Valley, goji berries, chia seeds, and Brazil nuts, to name a few. You won’t find any preservatives or artificial flavors in their freshly-packed snacks. According to one customer, buying from BetterFoods is like “going to your garden and picking your own fruits!”
The new spot on Bayshore neighbors Auto Body By George and temporarily closed The Old Clam House, the city’s iconic oldest restaurant. Patella was not immediately available for comment, and we don’t know when BetterFoods will be up and running, or if it’ll start selling its healthy treats IRL out of this location, but we could use a snack while we’re waiting. Head to the BetterFoods website to order yours.
