According to a recent Instagram post, Blue Bottle Coffee plans to debut a new location in Sonoma County.
The cafe chain shares, “Something exciting is brewing. Our newest cafe is opening soon in a vibrant, design-forward community, one that values sustainability, creativity, and connection… Can you guess where?”
Thanks to a recent report by Sonoma Magazine, the guessing game is over.
“Montgomery Village continues to announce new restaurant and food vendors in Santa Rosa, including Portland-based ice creamery Salt and Straw, Berkeley’s Fieldwork Brewing, Sprinkles cupcakes, Blue Bottle Coffee, Mendocino Farms, and Sweetgreens,” the Journal reports.
What Now San Francisco reached out to Kathleen Nuffort, Operations Manager of Blue Bottle Coffee, to inquire about the company’s expansion to Montgomery Village, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, Blue Bottle Founder James Freeman offers a statement on the company’s website: “I wanted to treat sustainability as a constraint that could make our coffee perhaps even more delicious. That constraint was the skeleton I built the company around, and it built in a lot of creativity.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with Blue Bottle Coffee, the business was founded in Oakland in 2022. Currently, Blue Bottle Coffee is owned by Nestlé and operates nearly 100 locations across major US cities, as well as international locations in Japan and South Korea.
An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
