Bonita Taqueria y Rotisserie Slated to Open in Noe Valley This Summer

A Mexican taqueria known for its signature rotisserie chicken is preparing to expand with a third location in San Francisco’s Noe Valley. The new location of Bonita Taqueria y Rotisserie, at 4063 24th Street in Noe Valley, is expected to open in late June/early July, according to co-owner JJ.

Jawad Sweidan, owner of the family restaurant and known as JJ, spoke to WhatNow and explained that the upcoming location marks the return of a third storefront for the business, which previously operated another restaurant nearby before closing it during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We had opened that location about a month before the pandemic, but with everything going on in the economy at the time, it was tough for us, so we downsized to two locations. Now we’re back to three.”

The restaurant is a fast-casual Mexican concept with a twist, combining high-quality ingredients with a more approachable service style. Its defining feature is its rotisserie chicken, which is the foundation of much of the menu that includes tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, and nachos.

“We’re actually known for our rotisserie chicken,” JJ said. “Everything we serve is rotisserie chicken-based. That’s our signature.”

The new location will also introduce several permanent menu additions across all three locations. According to JJ, many of the upcoming items were previously tested as specials and received strong customer feedback.

In addition, the company plans to expand its brunch service. While brunch is currently available only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the new location will coincide with the launch of an all-day brunch menu offered daily at all locations.

The “Bonita Brunch”, served Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until 3 p.m., has become such a success that the restaurant decided to expand it.

“We do a Mexican brunch,” JJ said. “With the new store, we decided we’re going to switch to doing brunch every day of the week.”

Along with huevos rancheros and burritos, Bonita Taqueria y Rotisserie offers other staples of Mexican breakfast, like “Tacos Desayuno”, which includes two tacos, scrambled eggs with chorizo, jack cheese, caramelized onions and peppers, topped with pickled onions, jalapeño cilantro crema, and a side of refried black beans with cotija cheese.
