According to recent reporting in Berkeleyside, Clandestina Cocina by Chef Lilly Duran will be joining the lineup at the upcoming Prescott Night Markets.
“Clandestina Cocina is born out of Chef Lilly’s deep longing for the vibrant flavors, music, and arts of her beloved hometown Havana in Cuba, eight years after immigrating to California,” the official website states.
“It is a heartfelt expression and an invitation to the Bay Area community to discover and savor our rich culture through authentic family recipes. We specialize in traditional Cuban cuisine, made using simple ingredients, exquisite spices, and seasonal produce.”
The popular Cuban eatery serves up the island’s quintessential dishes such as Ropa Vieja, Lechon, Yucca fries, and the famous Cuban sandwich.
Clandestina Cocina will be offering its classic Cuban dishes through October at the very least; it is not yet clear whether it will be a permanent tenant at Prescott Market.
