Compton’s Coffee House is planning to open a second location — this time in San Francisco’s buzzy North Beach neighborhood.

Owner Aidan Compton tells What Now San Francisco, “I’m really excited to bring more of a local energy to the space. North Beach is a fantastic area, such a historic and classic neighborhood.”

Taking over the long-vacant former La Boulange location at 543 Columbus Avenue, the shop will soon neighbor establishments such as Alimento, Il Pollaio, and Mara’s Italian Pastries.

Compton’s first announced the news on Instagram, writing: “We are so proud to announce the opening of our second coffee shop location! The North Beach neighborhood is steeped in rich coffee history, and we are honored to be joining the ranks. Located just a beat away from Washington Square Park, we are here for all your coffee needs.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with Compton’s, the family-owned specialty cafe made its debut at 1910 Fillmore Street in 2021 and has been serving Variety Coffee and pastries provided by Bay Area’s own Starter Bakery ever since.

The post continues, “Thank you to all of our loyal customers new and old that have helped us to make this dream a reality. Coming Summer 2023… Stay tuned for updates!”
