According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, Danville-based concept Domenico’s Delicatessen and Cafe plans to debut a new outpost in Pleasanton.
Coming to 201 Main Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as McKay’s Taphouse & Beer Garden, Noland’s Cake Shop, and Papa’s Dumpling.
What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the concept’s owner, Benjamin Freeman, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the concept’s website offers a brief introduction: “Joseph Domenico Giacomini had grown up in the family business, Lucca Delicatessens, before entering the corporate food and wine world in San Francisco. In 1993, desiring to go back to his “roots”, Joe and his wife, Sue, a passionate home chef, left their respective jobs to open Domenico’s Delicatessen.”
“With their shared love of food and wine, they set out to create a blend of traditional Italian favorites with a modern twist and an emphasis on healthier ingredients.”
In addition to its sandwich menu, “Domenico’s Delicatessen is home to over 60 original house-made salads that rotate daily along with hot pastas and our fabulous soups, which are offered seasonally.”
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
