According to a recent license application, Quail Cafe at Filoli Historic House & Garden is hiring Alcal Specialty Contracting to perform building maintenance. The request with San Mateo County has been pending approval since December 7.

The estate’s website describes Filoli as “a vibrant landscape of the Bay Area, situated on the unceded ancestral lands of the Ramaytush Ohlone, in Woodside, California.” The estate at 86 Cañada Road in Woodside boasts 654 acres along California’s coast, a 54,000+ square-foot “Georgian revival-style” mansion, 16 acres of English Renaissance gardens, a 6.8-acre “Gentleman’s Orchard,” and a 1-mile trail.

The organization’s eatery, Quail Café, serves a menu of “sustainably packaged, grab-and-go” meals as well as beer and wine. Woodland Court, the property’s holiday bar, features a selection of wine, beer, warm beverages, and mixed cocktails. The cafe is open daily from 10 am to 8:30 pm, and the holiday bar is open from 2 pm to 9 pm on weekdays and from 11 am to 9 pm on weekends.

What Now San Francisco could not contact a company representative by the time of publication. How, or whether, the construction will affect business hours and other pertinent details have not yet been announced.
