Gangnam Jajang is getting ready to cook things up in Oakland. According to a recent zoning clearance permit, the restaurant is taking over Koryo Jajang at 4390 Telegraph Ave. in the Koryo Village Center

Owner Sangwook Yoo, who also owns Gangnam Tofu in El Cerrito, says that Gangnam Jajang will open on January 1, 2022. Yoo looks forward to serving the same delicious fare found at Gangnam Tofu.

The menu will include Korean fusion foods like Jjajangmyeon, noodles with black bean sauce, and Kkanpunggi, a spicy garlic fried chicken served with a variety of sauces. Until Koryo Jajang reemerges as Gangnam Jajang, we can only daydream about the delicious Korean dishes that are about to take over Telegraph Avenue.
