Haruki Sushi House will soon open in Vacaville, according to an On-Sale Beer and Wine license application pending since October 13th. The new sushi restaurant will debut at 1041 Alamo Drive, a space that is currently home to Charcoal Kabob and Seafood. The location is near the Shops at Golden Hills shopping mall, between Happy Donuts and Jack in the Box.

The owner is listed as Sonny Xia, the current manager of Hinata Japanese Steakhouse, a “low-key restaurant serving typical Japanese fare, including hibachi, steak and sushi, plus cocktails,” found in Green Valley Shopping Center. If Xia plans to model Haruki Sushi House after Hinata, patrons can expect an enormous menu.

Hinata offers appetizers and dinner plates like chicken teriyaki, pork katsu, and shrimp tempura. The menu boasts a wide selection of donburi — Japanese rice bowls loaded with fish or meat and vegetables — and hibachi plates. This is, of course, in addition to a range of sashimi and specialty sushi rolls. They are open for lunch and dinner.
