According to a recently submitted permit application, Henhouse Brewing looks to be expanding — planning to take over a new space in San Jose.

Coming to 357 E Taylor Street — an address that was formerly home to Gordon Biersch Brewery — HenHouse will soon neighbor establishments such as Cannery Park Apartments by Windsor, Pavona Apartments, and the cafe Sincereta.

For readers who are unfamiliar with HenHouse, the business provides a brief introduction on its website, sharing, “Founded in 2011, we crank out awesome beers 30 barrels at a time in uncompromising and fearless pursuit of our goal: creating new and interesting kinds of delicious.”

What Now San Francisco reached out to HenHouse Co-Founder and Co-Owner Collin McDonnell — who operates the business alongside Scott Goyne and Shane Goepel — to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

While it’s unclear exactly how the upcoming San Jose facility will be used, it will join existing HenHouse stations in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Fairfax.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow HenHouse on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
