According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland’s upcoming food hall Prescott Market will host HighWire Coffee. The concept will join vendors including Fast Times Burgers, Pizzeria Violetta, and Prescott Meats & Delicatessen.
What Now San Francisco contacted the business’s co-owner, Rich Avella, to inquire about the upcoming location, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the company, Avella, Robert Myers, and Eric Hashimoto founded Highwire Coffee Roasters in 2011. Since then, it has opened six cafes across Alameda, Broadway, Flowerland, Montclair Village, Rockridge, and San Pablo.
“We wanted to be more welcoming to more people than what we felt third-wave coffee shops were generally doing at that time. The guiding idea was we wanted a place we could bring our moms and dads without them feeling alienated or put off by any kind of exclusive feel of our shop. We wanted our long years of coffee experience to show in the expertly sourced, roasted, and served coffee drinks,” Highwire shares on its website.
Prescott Market is slated to open in 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
