According to a recent press release, Izzy’s Steaks & Chops is reopening its flagship location in early 2025, “following a six-month historic restoration and renovation.”
At 3345 Steiner Street — near establishments such as Ace Wasabi, Isa Restaurant, and Popi’s Oysterette — “Izzy’s Steaks & Chops, a part of the DuVall Family Hospitality Group, is a second-generation, family-owned, and operated dining destination that has been beloved by Bay Area locals and visitors alike for decades.”
The statement’s introduction continues, “Founded in 1987 by famed restaurateur, Sam DuVall, and with locations in San Francisco’s Marina District and on the Peninsula, Izzy’s presents a fresh take on elevated comfort fare, classic cocktails, high-quality wine, and generous hospitality in a lively, neighborhood environment that’s full of timeless charm and vibrant character.”
DuVall expresses enthusiasm about the reopening, sharing, “This renovation is a tribute to my father’s extraordinary legacy, while also inviting a new generation to experience the magic of Izzy’s. It stands as a testament to our enduring love for this city and our unwavering belief in the timeless spirit of San Francisco.”
She continues, “We look forward to welcoming our wonderful community back to our beloved flagship in the new year.”
