Kat’s Kitchen, a new breakfast and lunch restaurant with pantry items and wine service, is getting ready to open in Berkeley at 2922 Domingo Avenue.

The new eatery is set to move into the former home of Rick and Ann’s Restaurant, according to a recent liquor license application. The restaurant is owned and operated by Victor and Maya Maravilla. What Now San Francisco reached out to Victor Maravilla, who shared that the team has recently met with the contractor and landlord and is now beginning the remodeling phase. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the buildout is expected to take approximately three months, and customers can expect breakfast, lunch, pantry offerings, wine service, and catering.

Kat’s Kitchen will operate as a breakfast-and-lunch spot, with pantry items and a wine bar. Catering services will also be part of the concept. The business stated that it focuses on food and beverage service at the Berkeley location. Additional operational details have not yet been released.

The restaurant has announced its upcoming opening through its social media, confirming the core elements of the concept. The team expressed enthusiasm about bringing the new business to Berkeley. Further updates are expected as construction progresses.

“We are excited to announce that Kat’s Kitchen is coming soon,” according to the company. “We will be a breakfast, lunch, pantry, and wine bar at the location. And then there’s the catering, too. We can’t wait to serve you delicious food and beverages.”
