The sandwich and salad chain Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market is planning to open two new locations in the coming months, including a new location in Mill Valley, according to a liquor license application. The newest location will open at 745 E Blithedale Ave., in the Alto Center shopping plaza, anchored by Whole Foods. A second location is also coming to Concord at 1975 Diamond Boulevard, Suite C2, according to a recent liquor license application. This location will open in the Willows Shopping Center, likely later this year.

Originally opening in 2005, the Los Angeles-based sandwich chain has locations in five states. Primarily concentrated along the West Coast, Mendocino Farms operates in California, Washington, Colorado, Texas, and Illinois, with a forthcoming location in Scottsdale, Arizona. There are currently 15 locations operating in Nor Cal alone, with a 16th location also on the way, set to open in Dublin in February.

Mendocino Farms offers a rotating menu of salads and sandwiches, focused on fresh, season ingredients, its website describing its food as a “unexpected culinary adventure.” Offering customizable options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diners, popular menu items include its vegan banh mi, “not so fried” chicken sandwich, and chimichurri steak-and-bacon sandwich. Many of Mendocino Farms’ locations also offer catering services.

Mendocino Farms has yet to announce a timeline for the upcoming Mill Valley or Concord locations.
