If you’re a fan of Khamsa on the corner of 15th and South Van Ness, then you might be excited to learn that its owners have a new venture in the works. Get ready for L’Mida, a new Moroccan concept coming to the Marina District

We can already guess that L’Mida will be just as delicious as its cousin in the Mission. Khamsa’s Moroccan-Californian menu is what makes it one of the highest rated restaurants in its neighborhood, popular for dishes like Tanjia, Chicken Tagine and Kafta.

Owner Adil Joutey tells What Now San Francisco that we will have to wait and see what L’Mida has in store for us when it is scheduled to open this spring. A pending beer and wine license found in state public records indicates that L’Mida will be taking over the former Chestnut Bakery at 2359 Chestnut St.

At the moment, the space is likely undergoing some renovations. When those are complete, we’re sure it will be as much a feast for the eyes as it is for our appetites.
