A new eatery, Bigotes Pizzeria, is coming to Berkeley — taking over a 980-square-foot space at 1706 University Avenue near establishments such as Long Life Vegi House and Nation’s Giant Hamburgers & Great Pies.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the business owner, Ausencio Tobon, who shared that he plans to open the business before the end of summer, but could not provide further information about the concept or plans for the menu before publication.

Nevertheless, a permit application recently submitted to the city offers additional insight — revealing that the eatery is not planning to serve alcohol or offer parking.

Bigotes Pizzeria has received its business license, but Tobon shares that the business is still working to acquire other essential permits.

Stay tuned for additional updates.
