Vegan Mob has been dishing out some of the finest meat-less barbecue and soul food found in the East Bay. Regulars are found lined up at their post on Lake Park Avenue but soon, that is about to change as Vegan Mob will be moving to a larger space in downtown Oakland, San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Over the next few months, the business will begin moving into their new home at 1500 Broadway. The space will be built out to accommodate an indoor capacity of 64 seats, plus a few tables outside. Vegan Mob owner Toriano Gordon hopes to be operating from the new digs in July.
This will be a huge upgrade for the plant-based business, which is currently outdoor only. They will continue to serve their Mob Plate, Barbequito and other vegan dishes, but the menu will feature new items such as hush puppies.
In addition to beer and wine, the new restaurant will feature smoothies and fresh juices from Bougie Smoothie, a juice bar owned by Gordon’s wife, Maya Cameron-Gordon. Vegan Mob also operates a San Francisco food truck on Valencia Street, as well as a ghost kitchen in San Jose.
