Backed by the team behind Turkish restaurant Meyhouse, Meze & Kebab opened in Palo Alto on January 27. The restaurant has introduced a shared dining format, offering guests a range of grilled specialties, mezes, dips, and freshly baked flatbreads.

Meze & Kebab Brings All-You-Can-Eat Experience to Palo Alto

Meze & Kebab introduces a 90-minute all-you-can-eat dining format made for social gatherings. Led by Executive Chef Omer Artun of Meyhouse, the restaurant offers a QR code at the table, through which guests can order hot dishes and fire-grilled kebabs, among others.

Like the dim-sum style service, the restaurant’s servers offer several rounds of freshly prepared dishes. In the model, guests can sample a range of dishes without wasting food. The menu offers the classic all-you-can-eat menu at $59.99, while the children’s menu starts at $24.99. For guests looking for lighter meals, an à la carte menu is also available.

“Our menu is built around the flavors of fire,” said Chef Artun. “These cuisines are rooted in sharing, and we wanted the experience to reflect that sense of connection and community,” Artun added.

Highlights of the menu include cold mezes like spicy crushed tomatoes, tzatziki, babaganoush, and housemade pickles. Hot mezes include dal makhani, rotating specials, hummus masabacha topped with warm chickpea stew, and French fries.

The menu also offers a variety of dips and sides, and rotating specials that include bulgur pilaf, Mersin tahini, and basmati rice. Meanwhile, the kebab selection has döner kebab, which is made with lamb and beef, Aegean chicken, herb garlic shrimp, and spicy Antep paneer tikka.

The beverage program completes the menu with cocktails, beer, California wines, and traditional Turkish drinks like Efes Pilsener, Uludağ soda, Turkish yoghurt drink ayran, and şalgam, a traditional Turkish fermented turnip juice.
