According to city of Oakland public records, a zoning clearance application has been approved at 1951 Telegraph Ave. for a business called Kinfolx. The record notes intentions to operate as a limited service coffee shop, likely on the ground floor of The Uptown apartment building in uptown Oakland.

It would be joining a host of other local trendy eateries such as Hotbird and Little Giant Ice Cream. As of now, details about Kinfolx are unavailable, as the owner of Kinfolx could not be reached for comment.

But based on the timing of these records, we suspect that this project is in its infancy and therefore will likely be coming to fruition in the latter half of this year. We will be sure to post an update if we gain more information. Stay tuned.
