Randy’s Donuts, a Los Angeles doughnut shop founded in 1952, is getting ready to open its first Bay Area location in Santa Clara at 2595 Homestead Road.
The company’s new location is set to open in the former home of the Chinese restaurant Top Chef, which previously operated as a KFC, according to Palo Alto Online. The Santa Clara site is expected to open in the first quarter of 2026. The location is co-owned by franchisees Ausaf Masud and Adeel Siddiqui. While an exact opening date has not been announced, customers can expect Randy’s Donuts’ full lineup of handmade doughnuts, along with coffee, specialty beverages, and limited seating.
The Santa Clara location will also serve as a commissary kitchen to support future Randy’s Donuts locations planned across the Bay Area. The company plans to open three to four additional locations in the region, though specific sites have not yet been finalized. This expansion marks a significant step for the brand as it enters Northern California for the first time.
The building includes a drive-through, though it will not be operational at opening due to local considerations. Inside, the shop will feature a large kitchen area, limited indoor seating for approximately four to eight customers, and additional outdoor seating. Santa Clara regulations do not permit the brand’s iconic 32-foot rooftop doughnut so that the location will feature a smaller doughnut sculpture. The overall design will be similar to the Randy’s Donuts location in Culver City.
Randy’s Donuts offers handmade doughnuts across several categories, including classic, deluxe, fancy, premium, and seasonal selections. Menu offerings range from glazed raised and cake doughnuts to apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, and specialty items such as Nutella-raised and bacon-maple long johns. Seasonal doughnuts are offered for holidays throughout the year, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All of this will be available to customers when the new location opens.
