Have you ever been to Rocks Den? This no-frills watering hole in Excelsior has been around since at least 2015, becoming a favorite hangout for drinks, billiards, and catching the game on the big-screen. Word on the street is that Rocks Den might soon be relocating.

Multiple pending license transfers found in California’s ABC records indicate that Rocks Den has sights set on a new home. The would-be address is at 4753 Mission St. where Henry’s Hunan Restaurant currently stands.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Rocks Den owner Mike Hung, who made it clear that despite the public records, nothing can be confirmed at this time. For sure, they are contemplating a move out of their current space, but there isn’t a guarantee that they will end up taking over Henry’s when all is said and done.

Hung adds that if anything, a move is more likely to happen towards the end of the year. That said, Rock Den regulars ought to prepare themselves for this potential relocation. Thankfully though, the “modern man cave” will continue doing what they do best: being your home away from home.
