Simon, a real estate investment trust engaged in the ownership of shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations, announced a major redevelopment with the opening of new retail and restaurant offerings to further enhance the guest experience at Stanford Shopping Center. As Simon continues to make strategic investments in its properties, this new development shows the company’s commitment to ensuring that Stanford Shopping Center is the premier luxury shopping and dining destination in Northern California.

The redevelopment will feature two exclusive restaurants—Zaytinya, an Eastern Mediterranean eatery from James Beard Award-winning chef José Andrés, and Asian-inspired eatery Dumpling Time, set to open in the second quarter of 2025.

The redevelopment includes a total of approximately 78,000 square feet of repurposed retail and dining space that is connected by a pedestrian walkway, allowing easy access to these new offerings. The project will further elevate the center’s appeal to shoppers throughout the region by offering even more prestigious lifestyle, shopping and dining experiences. The redevelopment is located on the north side of the center, near the intersection of El Camino Real and Sand Hill Rd.

The redevelopment began last year when RH unveiled a stunning three-story indoor-outdoor experience that blends luxury home furnishings with rare art, antiques, and artifacts — with a striking glass-encased rooftop restaurant at the heart of the project.

The fashion boutique Wilkes Bashford recently relocated from the main center to a two-story space within the redevelopment. At 29,000 square feet, the company’s new flagship store reinforces that Stanford Shopping Center is the destination for the finest in luxury retail.

“Our ongoing redevelopment at Stanford Shopping Center showcases our consistent commitment to enhancing our center as a must-visit destination that combines high-end shopping with diverse culinary offerings,” said Angie Pyszczynski, General Manager at Stanford Shopping Center in a statement. “The addition of RH, Wilkes Bashford, Zaytinya and Dumpling Time in an elevated setting further enriches our impressive collection of retailers and restaurants, providing a memorable experience for our guests.”

Known for its upscale collections, Stanford Shopping Center’s current footprint features the recently opened Hermes, Rolex, TUMI and Weekend Max Mara, among other highly-sought-after luxury retailers. Shopper favorites including Frame and New Balance opened ahead of the 2024 holiday season, while Anton SV Patisserie will open in 2025.
