Northern California-based Starbird Chicken, known for its crispy, feel-good chicken sandwiches, salads, and tenders, is opening its 9th location in Walnut Creek, according to a press release.
The new spot, in the Encina Grande shopping center at 2849 Ygnacio Valley Road, will have a grand opening on May 24th (and will even be offering customers $5 off any in-app purchase).
Starbird’s chicken star ingredient — the chicken, obviously — is antibiotic-free and served fresh, never frozen, hand-breaded in a secret blend of gluten-free rice and spices. And if you’re rolling your eyes at the gluten-free thing, just know that while you’re over there, clinging to your cramped stomach after a greasy bucket of whatever fried chicken you’ve been eating, we’ll be over in Walnut Creek, feeling energized and full after one of Starbird’s clean, hearty chicken sandies.
“Since the start of Starbird Chicken, we’ve been committed to upgrading the fast food marketplace by creating a product that offers a level of quality, convenience and tech-driven customer experience that is unparalleled in the fast food landscape,” says Aaron Noveshen, founder and CEO of Starbird Chicken. “We are proud that in the midst of our brand’s rapid growth, we are still challenging industry conventions in an effort to offer our guests super-premium fast food.”
And it looks like Starbird Chicken is on to something — the “super-premium” fast food joint has multiple locations in the works, including one in Marin County and others throughout the Bay Area. Clearly, whatever magic they’re adding into that secret spice blend is working.
