The MOHI, a multi-faceted hotel and dining concept, is getting ready to open in downtown Morgan Hill at 17490 Monterey Road.
Mohi Hotel Management LLC recently filed a Type 47–On-Sale General Eating Place liquor license, confirming plans for full-service food and beverage offerings. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the property is slated to debut in 2027, according to its website. Guests can expect three restaurants, a steakhouse, a raw bar, an artisan bakery, a rooftop pool bar, multiple outdoor courtyards, conference and event spaces, and a luxury pool and spa.
The MOHI is part of the Léal Portfolio, a collection of properties focused on food, wine, and hospitality throughout California’s Central Coast. Existing properties include MOHI Farm, MOHI Ranch, Willow Heights Mansion, Leal Vineyards in Hollister, Granada Theatre, and Luxe Design & Decor. The Morgan Hill hotel will bring together accommodations, dining, and event spaces under one roof for both leisure and business visitors.
The property emphasizes a farm-to-table philosophy, sourcing ingredients from local farmers and the on-site Uvas farm. Seasonal menus will rotate throughout the year, reflecting peak freshness, local flavors, and sustainable practices in sourcing and preparation, connecting the kitchen directly to the land.
Executive Chef Lance Ramhurst, trained at Atlantic Cape Community College, will oversee culinary operations. Chef Ramhurst brings extensive experience from MOHI Farm and other Léal restaurants and events, leading menu development and day-to-day operations with a hands-on approach to seasonal and farm-driven dining.
This will be an excellent landing space for The MOHI, centrally located just south of the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. It sits steps from downtown Morgan Hill’s wineries, cultural offerings, and outdoor attractions, while providing a 500-person event capacity and accommodations that appeal to both urban visitors and residents.
