Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a fast-casual pizza concept led by the 13-time World Pizza Champion, is preparing to open in downtown Menlo Park at 775-777 Santa Cruz Avenue.

The new Menlo Park location will open in the former home of The Pet Place, according to Mercury News. Construction is expected to begin in a couple of weeks, with the restaurant planned to open roughly seven months later. A company representative tells What Now that Slice House Menlo Park is franchised by The Yuksel Family, who also operate the Haight Street, Belmont, and soon-to-open Millbrae locations.

Slice House offers four pizza styles: traditional New York, Grandma, Sicilian, and Detroit, available by the slice or whole pies. The concept was founded in San Francisco’s North Beach in 2010 by Gemignani, who also operates Tony’s Pizza Napoletana. The menu includes gluten-free and vegan options, daily slice specials, antipasti, fresh pastas, wings, and desserts such as cannolis and rainbow cake. Customers can expect Slice House’s signature menu of handcrafted pizza, fresh pastas, wings, salads, and beer, including vegetarian options such as the Sweet Gino pizza, topped with tomato sauce, two types of fresh mozzarella, basil, and sea salt.

This Menlo Park opening continues Slice House’s Bay Area expansion, which also includes locations in Brentwood and Livermore. What Now previously covered the Milpitas location, which opened in October 2025. Gemignani said at the time, “As we continue to expand Slice House’s footprint across the country, it’s especially exciting for me to open doors throughout the Bay Area where I grew up and launched my pizza career.”

Tony Gemignani has won 13 World Pizza Championships, holds five Guinness World Records, and was named Pizza Maker of the Year by 50 Top Pizza USA. Slice House combines his expertise with a fast-casual franchise model that delivers high-quality pizza in an approachable, energetic atmosphere.

The Menlo Park location will offer a full menu for dine-in, takeout, and delivery, continuing the brand’s focus on local communities.
