A new cafe is headed to Marin County. Trailhead, a cafe specializing in sandwiches, has applied for a license at 127 San Marin Drive in Novato. Based on the application, it looks like Trailhead will also offer up beer and wine.

The cafe will take the place of a former Starbucks in San Marin Plaza, which is anchored by Harvest Market and Grocery. The plaza is also home to Mary’s Pizza Shack, Subway, and China Village. So, as long as Trailhead isn’t planning on serving up five-dollar-foot-long subs slathered in chipotle southwest sauce, it shouldn’t face too much competition in the area.

No word from Trailhead yet on when the restaurant plans to open. What Now San Francisco reached out for more details, but a representative for Trailhead was not immediately available for comment. As proud sandwich-lovers, we’re excited to see what the cafe has in store for us.
