According to a recently submitted permit application, Adega Azul plans to add live entertainment to its offerings.
Located at 1287 Gilman Street — near establishments such as Berkeley Bagels, Coffee Conscious, and Headlands Brewing — Adega Azul is a wine shop and bar that also offers charcuterie boards, hot pastries, and desserts.
The concept’s owner, Diva Robin, tells What Now San Francisco, “We’ve been open since June 2024, and it’s been wonderful to be part of this community alongside our amazing neighbors—Berkeley Bagels, Coffee Conscious, Thai Corner, Three.One.Four Pizza Lounge, and Westbrae Nursery.”
“Right now, we have live acoustic music on Saturday nights, and we’re looking to expand to Sunday afternoons as well, bringing even more Latin and Brazilian culture to Westbrae through music. A big thank you to our customers and neighbors who support diversity and art,” she continues.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Robin and Adega Azul, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: “Our Berkeley wine bar reflects [Robin’s] lifelong journey in the food and wine industry.”
“With Brazilian roots and influences from Italy, France, Portugal, Lebanon, Japan, and Spain, she brings a rich tapestry of flavors, aromas, and tropical charm to our unique wine selection. Her deep connection to food, history, and culture makes the experience at our bar naturally engaging and educational,” the statement continues.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
