WOC founded Wheelhouse Clay Studio bills itself as a collective of artists that fosters creativity, celebrates San Francisco, and a creates a safe space for its community.

Founded by Alden Enriquez, an Asian-American immigrant and San Francisco State grad with a ceramics and art history degree, Wheelhouse Clay Studio will offer pottery classes, workshops, and group events in wheel-throwing, hand-building, surface design, and more. Enriquez will teach alongside Tiffany Tang, another San Francisco State grad and graduate of RISD’s MFA in ceramics program.

The clay studio is set to open soon at 327 Divisadero Street in NoPa, in the former home of SALT Fitness Studio, neighboring gift shop Perdita and Gamescape.

After a year spent cooped up indoors with little to no creative inspiration, a pottery class might be just the thing to pull you out of your quarantine funk. No opening date has been announced, but you can sign up for the Wheelhouse newsletter for updates.
