According to a recent permit filing, Wheat Head Brewing Co. will open its doors in Kennewick at 92308 E Locust Grove Rd, confirmed by co-owner Christina Phillips.

“We have not set an official opening date yet, since it will depend on the permits, but we’re hopeful for an opening sometime this fall,” Phillips told What Now Seattle.

“Wheat Head will be a 2,400 square foot taproom with hangar and garage doors that open to 365 views of the Columbia Basin and beyond. Other building features include Italy-inspired stucco and arched windows, industrial-inspired corten steel, authentic plaster work, 100-year-old barn wood accents from our family farm, and so on. We will have three food truck hookups and hope to open with seven beers on tap as well as local wine, cider, and cold brew.”

Wheat Head will be coming to Kennewick as a father-daughter duo, with Christina and her father, Loren Miller, being the co-owners.

“We have strong ties to the farming community as my dad, Loren, was a dry land wheat farmer for 40 years. That’s how Wheat Head was born, as the brewery sits on our 4000-acre wheat farm.”

Christina added, “We look forward to providing an escape from the stresses of life and becoming a second home for the beer lovers and sunset chasers of Tri-Cities and beyond. We will be distributing locally to start. When locals have family and friends in town we want them to say Wheat Head is a MUST visit when in the area. We want to be a destination landmark for the Tri-Cities, as well as a premiere destination wedding venue.”
