Din Tai Fung, the global restaurant brand known for the art of the Xiao Long Bao, is debuting its re-designed Bellevue restaurant at Lincoln Square on Tuesday, April 16. The restaurant will now be on the first floor of the shopping center.

“As we unveil the re-designed Bellevue restaurant, we’re not only presenting a fresh look but also setting a higher standard,” says Aaron Yang, Vice President of Din Tai Fung USA in a statement. “Our new restaurant design artfully blends our heritage with innovative design, allowing us to better serve our guests. We are delighted to re-open our doors to our supportive community in the area, offering guests an elevated Din Tai Fung experience, with the same distinct flavors and culinary excellence that define all of our restaurants.”

To celebrate the re-opening with the Bellevue community, Din Tai Fung (DTF) is hosting a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on opening day at 11 a.m. PT. DTF will also be giving away collectible plushies, a brand fan favorite, to the first 100 parties in line on grand opening day.

Designed by the Rockwell Group, the new restaurant location reflects the Pacific Northwest environment and offers guests a serene, sophisticated retreat through a soothing palette. The natural design is brought to life through a suspended tree installation in the main dining area, mirroring the landscape of the region and Lake Washington. For an intimate dining experience, the restaurant features two private dining rooms, elevated with red wall coverings, delicate washi paper chandeliers and mirrored ceilings. Featured artwork was sourced from The Artling, a collective dedicated to nurturing emerging artistic talent. The design also includes DTF’s signature immersive dumpling expo kitchen, inviting guests to witness the artists behind the dumpling-making process firsthand.

Xiao Long Bao, the dish that catapulted DTF to fame in the early 1970s, remains central to its celebrated culinary repertoire. Handcrafted, each dumpling represents the culmination of an 18-fold process, ensuring the perfect marriage of a delicate skin with a rich, savory filling, often referred to as achieving the “Golden Ratio.” This art form, perfected over decades, is a testament to DTF’s unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. Other guest favorites include Spicy Wontons, featuring the restaurant company’s signature spicy sauce, and the hand-shaken Pear Lychee Martini, featuring Grey Goose La Poire Vodka and St-Germain.

The new Bellevue Location is located at 10455 Northeast 8th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004 (on the 1st floor, Northeast corner of NE 8th Street and Bellevue Way).

Operating hours: Sunday: 10:30 AM–9:00 PM, Monday–Thursday: 11:00 AM–9:00 PM, Friday: 11:00 AM–10:00 PM and Saturday: 10:30 AM–10:00 PM.
