According to a recent permit filing, El Gran Taco will soon open its first brick-and-mortar location at 10230 16th Avenue SW.
“Depending on our upcoming inspection, we plan to open pretty quickly. We will have live music, a bar, and fast service. We will provide halal options, veggie options, and all rice and beans are vegan. We try to cater to a large demographic of people,” owner Juan Salgado told What Now Seattle.
“I have been working since I was five, so I’ve always had money saved up. All of my recipes are passed down from my mom, and the salsa recipe is from my great-grandma; We are super family-orientated.”
“I originally opened during Covid-19, but I grew quickly from there. I have four different food trucks, and this will be the first brick-and-mortar location.”
According to the company website, “El Gran Taco was started by the Salgado family with a passion for serving authentic Mexican tacos and dishes to the Greater Seattle Area. Using family secrets and techniques passed through generations, they have mastered and perfected many of Mexico’s most beloved dishes such as tacos al pastor, burritos, flautas, enchiladas, and more!”
