According to a recent article from Capitol Hill Seattle Blog, a new concept will be taking over what was home to Crumble and Flake at 1500 E Olive Way.
A representative of the new concept was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Seattle’s request.
While a name for the new concept and opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to the article, Kate Opatz will be behind the new venture.
Kate’s Instagram post announcing the new venture says, “Rachel and I coveted this tiny bakery space next to @montanainseattle for years and dreamed about putting a teeny bar there. It finally became available and I couldn’t pass it up. Looking forward to working with @gayportals and making the smallest, prettiest cocktail bar around.”
The article from Capitol Hill Seattle Blog provides a bit more information by stating, “The new space is just shy of 500 square feet. Opatz, Marshall, and Peters opened Montana together on this block of E Olive Way in 2011 and opened the way for a handful of collaborations including Broadway’s Nacho Borracho.”
“Opatz has also been the center of other collaborations including in late 2019 as the Capitol Hill nightlife veteran teamed up with first-time owners Ani Custer and David Gurwitz to open the natural wine bar La Dive on E Pike. That combo is now also planning a La Dive expansion to Lower Queen Anne.”
