According to a recent article from Seattle Eater, Old Stove Brewing Company will open sometime later this year, located at 1550 NW 49th Street.
“We are excited to announce that Old Stove Brewing Company is expanding in the Seattle area! As we continue to focus on our Pike Place and Ship Canal locations, we are also looking ahead at how we can produce more beer and reach new audiences. So, to support that goal, we recently leased the former Hilliard’s and Lagunitas Brewing Company building in Ballard and intend to turn the space into a production brewery, taproom, and outdoor beer garden,” co-founder Brian Stan told What Now Seattle.
“This building is well-suited for brewing operations, so we are hopeful that we can be online in the coming months to produce all your favorite Old Stove brews. Sometime after that, we anticipate having the taproom and outdoor beer garden up and running, too! Either way, we continue to invite you to share a pint with us at our Pike Place and Ship Canal locations – two amazing spots to enjoy some Old Stove and some fun! More soon!”
The co-founders of Old Stove, Chris Moore and Brian Stan, created Old Stove with a dream of brewing. Initially, the concept was no more than exhilarating “what if” discussions accompanied by sketches on bar napkins, fueling the duo’s ambition to take their passion for brewing to new heights.
Gradually, these fleeting musings evolved into comprehensive business plans, presented before the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) and the Market Historical Commission. The culmination of numerous fruitful conversations was the long-awaited approval, granted in 2017, to establish Old Stove Brewing as a tenant of the MarketFront.
Central to the essence of Old Stove Brewing Co. is its unwavering commitment to upholding Pike Place Market’s cherished tradition of “Meet the Producer.” The brewery’s mission is to craft exceptional beers right on-site, with the aim of providing a warm and inviting taproom where patrons can delight in their creations, according to the company website.
