According to a recent permit filing, Ristorante Machiavelli will expand with a second location in Edmond, at 316 Main Street.

A representative of Ristorante Machiavelli was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Seattle’s request.

According to the company website, the opening date for the Edmonds location will be sometime in December of this year.

The story began in the 1980s, when a collection of cherished recipes embarked on a journey up the iconic I-5 highway, leaving behind San Francisco’s famed Italian-American North Beach neighborhood. With a vision of bringing the warmth and flavors of Italy to a new community, Linda and Tom McElroy carried these recipes to Seattle. In 1988, they fulfilled their dream, opening Ristorante Machiavelli in the heart of Seattle’s Capitol Hill, offering picturesque views of downtown.

In 1999, the story of Ristorante Machiavelli is described as taking an exciting turn with the arrival of Suzette Jarding, who is now the owner. Hailing from South Dakota, Suzette joined the team as a hostess and server, instantly falling in love with the restaurant and its loyal patrons. Her passion for the establishment and its vibrant community continued to grow.

In 2013, Ristorante Machiavelli embarked on yet another chapter of its journey. Suzette, described as being deeply entrenched in the spirit and ethos of the restaurant, took a step forward when she purchased Ristorante Machiavelli from Linda and Tom McElroy, according to the company website.
