From a recent article by Seattle Eater comes the news that RockCreek will soon expand to Kirkland sometime in December, located at 89 Kirkland Avenue.

A representative of RockCreek did not immediately return What Now Seattle’s request for comment.

According to the Eater article, the upcoming location is poised to make an impressive statement, occupying a vast 5,000-square-foot space, with room to comfortably accommodate 90 guests indoors and 60 outdoors, as revealed in a recent press release. An exclusive private dining area will be available to cater to an additional 45 patrons. The new venue’s allure is heightened by the promise of “floor-to-ceiling windows,” providing breathtaking views of the mesmerizing Lake Washington and the dynamic downtown Seattle skyline.

With this Kirkland venture, it will mark the fourth establishment for RockCreek’s founder Eric Donnelly. Donnelly’s culinary empire also includes the acclaimed FlintCreek Cattle Company, a go-to destination for steak aficionados in the Greenwood area, as well as the cozy and enticing Bar Sur Mer, situated adjacent to FlintCreek.

Delving into the heart of RockCreek’s ethos, the restaurant boasts a captivating culinary narrative that revolves around a rich tapestry of globally sourced seafood from well-managed fisheries. Diners can expect an array of offerings, ranging from beloved local Northwest favorites such as crab, oysters, and mussels, to exotic catches like Kona Kampachi and Hawaiian Ono, and classic East Coast staples like Striped Bass.

Beyond its culinary delights, RockCreek’s ambiance and design play an essential role in shaping the dining experience. Housed within an urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge,’ the restaurant showcases a captivating blend of local and reclaimed resources, meticulously crafted by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. The attention to detail extends to the tables, thoughtfully crafted from bark-beetle pine, exuding rustic charm and character. Even beloved repurposed farm equipment finds a home within the premises, according to the company website.
