According to a recent permit filing, Thor’s Hammered has filed for a Bellingham location at 1555 County Lane.

“Thor’s Hammered is a natural meadery focused on small-batch, historically-inspired honey and fruit wine. We are still working on our production space but we hope to be open for tastings and bottle sales mid-summer of this year,” owner Patrick Rickard told What Now Seattle.

Thor’s Hammered was filed for under Thor’s Hammered LLC. Washington Company Search states that the LLC was incorporated on February 4th, 2023. Thor’s Hammered’s space is stated to be out of the garage on the property, according to the permit filing.

What is a meadery, you might ask? Mead is an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, and it often includes additional ingredients such as fruits, spices, grains, or hops to enhance flavor and complexity.

Mead can range in alcohol content and sweetness, offering a variety of styles such as traditional mead (made solely from honey, water, and yeast), melomel (mead with fruit), metheglin (mead with spices or herbs), and many other variations. A meadery is a production facility or establishment where mead is made.
